Equatorial African States
Equatorial African States is a monetary union formed in 1960, and consists of the now-independent Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo Republic and Gabon. After 1964, banknotes were issued in the name of each country in the union, and then by Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale for each country. After 1993, BEAC countries share common banknotes with only a branch code on each note signifying the country.
