Serbia is a landlocked country in South-Eastern Europe. After WWII, Serbia joined the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, which became Yugoslavia. After the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992, the Federation of Serbia and Montenegro was created.

Serbian National Bank

The following notes were printed by the Institute for Manufacturing Banknotes located in Belgrade. Banque de France provided technical assisance in bringing its printing processes to the IMB, and French artists were often used for the art and engraving. One can see the resemblance from these to the classic French style.
